Okowa pays condolence visit to late Omovie’s family

Delta State Government has condoled with the family of former Delta States House of Assembly member, Late Dennis Omovie, describing him as one that lived a life of service to his community and the state.

The state governor, Dr. Ifeanyi Okowa who paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at Uvwie in Uvwie Local Government Area of the state, noted that the death of Omovie was quite touching as he had being a faithful friend and very supportive while he was alive.

Okowa who was represented by the Deputy Governor, Deacon Kingsley Burutu Otuaro, pointed out that the Late Omovie lived an impactful life.

According to him “I am here on behalf of the state government to condole the Omovie Family on the passing onto glory of our friend, brother and political leader.”

“I know he lived a life of service to the community and to the state,” he added.

While saying that the departed would have lived longer to impact on the people of Warri South Constituency and entire state, Okowa admonished the family members to stay focused and lived an exemplary life.

Earlier on arrival, Chief Emma Ako Omovie welcomed the Deputy Governor and his entourage into the family compound.

Emma Omovie who was the spokesman of the family appreciated the state government for the condolence visit, adding that they had lost a great member of the family.
