PDP Commences Accreditation of 627 Delegates for Ondo Gubernatorial Primaries

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State has begun the accreditation process for 627 delegates who will participate in the party’s governorship primaries.
The indirect mode of primary was chosen by the opposition party, and the voting process will commence immediately after the delegates have been accredited.
Deputy Governor of Bayelsa State, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, who is overseeing the exercise, emphasized the party’s commitment to a transparent and fair process.
He stated that the PDP aims to take over power from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to ensure proper governance in the state.
Ewhrudjakpo expressed confidence in the readiness of the panel members and the high spirits of the aspirants, who have assured him of their willingness to work together for whoever emerges as the candidate.
He highlighted his successful track record in conducting the primaries in Osun State, where the PDP emerged victorious, and expressed optimism for a similar outcome in Ondo State.
The PDP’s focus remains on winning the upcoming gubernatorial election and reclaiming power from the APC, which has held governance in the state for the past eight years.
The party is determined to ensure a smooth and transparent process as it selects its candidate for the governorship race.
The accreditation process is a crucial step in the PDP’s efforts to present a united front and secure victory in the upcoming gubernatorial election.
The party hopes that the successful conduct of the primaries will pave the way for a strong campaign and eventual victory in the election.
