Ondo APC Chieftain Urges Aiyedatiwa to Reconcile with Aggrieved Gubernatorial Aspirants

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Chief Ayirimi Emami, has called on Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa to reconcile with all the aggrieved aspirants who contested against him in the party’s recent gubernatorial primary.
Aiyedatiwa emerged victorious in the primary, conducted by a team led by Kogi State Governor Usman Ododo, after securing 48,569 votes and defeating 15 other aspirants.
However, some of the defeated aspirants have since expressed dissatisfaction with the outcome, alleging that the election was not conducted in accordance with the party’s guidelines.
Emami, in his statement, acknowledged Aiyedatiwa’s victory as a testament to his impactful governance since assuming office as Governor of Ondo State.
He urged the governor to broker peace with the aggrieved aspirants, emphasizing the importance of unity within the party for the overall development of the state.
The APC chieftain stressed the need for a no-victor-no-vanquished approach, calling on all aspirants to support Aiyedatiwa’s candidacy for the benefit of the party and the people of Ondo State.
He expressed his belief that the cooperation of all aspirants would ensure a seamless victory for the APC and accelerate the developmental strides being witnessed in the state.
As the gubernatorial election approaches, the call for reconciliation and unity within the APC in Ondo State is seen as a crucial step towards consolidating the party’s strength and ensuring a smooth electoral process.
