Nigerians are reacting to the decision of the Federal High Court in Kano to dismiss a lawsuit filed by a lawyer, Bulama Bukarti, asking the court to order the EFCC to investigate the viral video purportedly showing Kano state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, collecting wads of dollar notes from a road contractor in his state. Journalist Jafaar Jafaar shared series of videos in October 2018 purportedly showing the governor receiving kickbacks from contractors employed by his government. The court presided over by Justice Egwuatu, dismissed the suit saying it lacked merit. According to the judge, the evidence that must be brought to the court must be cogent and verifiable.
