BETAwards: Yvonne Orji honoured as a ‘Rising Star’ at the 2018 BET Her Award

The 18th BET Awards is set to hold this weekend at Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California and ahead of the ceremony there have been some pre-awards events.

With the aim of celebrating achievements in entertainment and honors music, sports, television, and movies, the BET Her Awards, Presented By Bumble at The Conga Room at L.A, held last night in Los Angeles.

Nigerian-American actress Yvonne Orji was stunning on the red carpet. She was one of the six honourees of the night, winning a ‘Rising Star’ Award.

Hosted by singer, songwriter and actress Brandy, the awards ceremony celebrates the advancement and accomplishments of women of color across a spectrum of industries and will include a special spotlight on two deserving nonprofit organizations dedicated to serving in the upliftment and empowerment  of women of color.

La La Anthony, Estelle, Bozoma Saint John, Marsha Ambrosius, Romeo Miller, Master P, Marsha Ambrosius and more were also spotted at the event.
