Governor Ayade’s defection to APC, a welcome development says Adjogbe

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, APC, and Former Executive Director Projects of the Niger Delta Development Commission NDDC, Engr Dr Samuel Adjogbe,  has described the defection of Cross River State Governor, Prof. Ben Ayade to the APC as a welcome development.

Recall that Governor Ayade announced his defection to the ruling APC, Thursday, during a meeting with six APC state governors who visited him in Calabar.

Adjogbe in a statement issued through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr Daniel Ughere described the defection as a “welcome development for the party.”

According to him, “as a two-term serving governor and former senator, the Governor, Prof Ben Ayade comes with a lot of capacity and experience to the fold of the progressives.”

“I welcome him to our great party and I enjoin all party faithfuls to rally around him with support and cooperation.”
