Aderemi Adeoye, the retired Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, has recounted his successful career fighting militants, Boko Haram terrorists, and IPOB insurgents without sustaining any injuries.
During his pullout ceremony at the Alex Ekwueme Square in Awka, Adeoye attributed his success to the grace of God and his extensive experience serving in the state.
Governor Chukwuma Soludo, represented by Deputy Governor Dr. Onyekachi Ibezim, praised Adeoye for his efforts in combating insecurity in the state.
He emphasized that Adeoye's arrival coincided with the state government's efforts to tackle insecurity, and his dedication, sincerity, and doggedness contributed significantly to the reduction of violence in the region.
Adeoye expressed gratitude for the opportunity to serve Nigeria and the valuable training he received during his tenure, which prepared him for retirement.
He highlighted his experiences fighting various insurgent groups and the challenges he faced without sustaining any injuries.
Governor Soludo's administration recognized Adeoye's achievements by naming a street after him and presenting him with numerous awards.
The governor also acknowledged that Adeoye's retirement is mandated by law, despite the desire to retain his services due to his commendable work in the state.
