APC Sweeps Gombe LG Election, Offers Solutions to Nigeria

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has won all 11 local government areas in the Gombe State local government elections held on Saturday, April 28, 2024.
The announcement was made by the Chairman of the Gombe State Independent Electoral Commission, Saidu Shehu, who revealed that the APC won all contested seats, including two local government areas where it ran unopposed.
The election, which saw participation from five out of 19 registered political parties, marked a significant moment for the APC in Gombe State.
The party’s candidates emerged victorious in all local government areas, including Kaltungo and Shongom, where they faced no opposition.
Governor Muhammadu Yahaya, who voted at the Yahaya Umar polling unit 010, congratulated the winners and urged the opposition to support the new leaders in a bid to foster unity and progress in the state.
He emphasized the importance of maintaining calm and good conduct throughout the election process.
In his statement, Governor Yahaya expressed confidence in the APC’s ability to lead Gombe State towards a brighter future, stating, “I’m convinced beyond doubt that we are going to head to the coast, there is no fear; you can see people are happy and the election is being conducted across the state.
The people are happy and the conduct is good.”
The Gombe State local government election results have solidified the APC’s position in the state, as the party continues to offer solutions to Nigeria’s challenges.
The APC’s victory in Gombe State is a testament to its growing influence and the trust that the people of Gombe have placed in its ability to lead and deliver on the needs of the citizens.
