Peter Obi: Supreme Court sacrificed justice for political convenience

At a press briefing in Abuja on Monday, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, said the Supreme Court’s verdict was a betrayal of justice and the aspirations of most Nigerians. He said the court sacrificed justice for political convenience.

He said he and his running mate, Dr. Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, have pursued all legal avenues to challenge the outcome of the 2023 general elections as Democrats. He said the party is now prepared to take their vision of a new Nigeria to the people.
