I will not allow you to blackmail DSP Omo-Agege, Onokpite warns Urhobo APC leaders

An All Progressive Congress (APC), youth leader in Delta State, Comrade Edafe Onokpite has warned some leaders of the party in Delta Central Senatorial District to desist from their clandestine plan to pass a vote of no confidence on the “performing Deputy Senate President, Obarisi Ovie Omo-Agege,” just to satisfy their “failed principal” in order to discredit the DSP ahead of 2023.

Comrade Onokpite alleged that some Urhobo leaders of the party have met and perfected their “devilish plan” to go to the media with their cooked-up lies against the DSP, and then pass a vote of no confidence on him.

He added that one of such lies is that they holding the DSP responsible for APC failure in the 2019 governorship election in Delta State and also alleging that he is empowering the opposition party members in Delta, more than APC members.

While urging all supporters of the DSP to be vigilant and respond appropriately, if and when the “evil-doers” go ahead with their plan, he disclosed that the proposed action of the leaders is not only born out of “envy and witchcraft but also an attempt to give the dog a bad name in order to hang it.”

Onokpite said no individual can claim ownership of a political party; as such APC belongs to everybody, adding that against all odds, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege was very instrumental to the clinching of the party’s governorship ticket by “their principal Chief Great Ogboru.”

“Go and check INEC record, the DSP delivered his Ughelli North Local Government Area for APC during the National, State Assembly, Presidential and Governorship Elections! How many of these so-called leaders deliver their LGAs for the party? Are they saying the DSP should have left his LGA and come and deliver their LGAs for them?”

Comrade Onokpite urged the aggrieved Delta Central Leaders to test the political water to see if their principal is still popular and projects him for the 2023 governorship election, rather than do that, they are afraid of the growing popularity of the DSP.

“So their plan is how to bring DSP down so that they can promote their Principal. But I can assure you that their evil plan has been exposed, if they try it, they will certainly fail because Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has touched lives through appointments and infrastructural development across Delta State.”

Comrade Onokpite also disclosed that part of “so-called leaders” grievance is that their principal is the leader of the party in Delta State.”You can see their pettiness, who is dragging leadership position with their principal? DSP did not make himself or arrogated the position to himself it was the former National Chairman of our party Comrade Adams Oshiomole who proclaimed him APC leader of not just Delta State but the entire South-South region based on his position as the Deputy Senate President.

He stated further that whatever plot and strategy the “so-called Delta Central Leaders” are planning will die on arrival and asked them to advise their principal to forget 2023 because Urhobos and Deltans are wiser than ever before.

“For years Urhobos have been supporting their principal at the detriment of Urhobo interest not once, not twice, yet they do not want to relent. I was once his foot soldier but we cannot continue to deceive ourselves, let their principal forget 2023, you saw the result of the 2019 governorship election, it was very poor. So, let us try some else.”

Onokpite added that it will amount to “sheer wickedness, witchcraft, and jealousy” for any Urhobo man to ever conceive any evil against the DSP who has brought glory and uncommon development to Urhobo Land.

According to him, “Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has given Urhobo voice at national politics and with tremendous development in Urhobo Land.”

“Today, more than 200 persons cut across the three Senatorial Districts of Delta State have been appointed either as Aides, Chairmen, or Members of various Federal Boards through the effort of His Excellency Senator Ovie Omo Agege.

“His effort with the Federal Polytechnic Orogun, Sexual Harassment Bill, and Federal University of Petroleum Resources, FUPRE, Effurun has placed the Urhobo nation on the world map.”
