UNA clarifies temporary diversion of Abuja flight to Asaba

A United Nigeria Airlines flight, NUA 0504, flying from the MM2 in Lagos to Abuja yesterday, had to make a temporary landing at the Asaba International Airport because of poor weather at the destination.

The airline’s Head of Corporate Communications, Achilleus-Chud Uchegbu, said in a statement that “the pilot of the aircraft was fully aware of the temporary landing and was well informed.

“However, the cabin crew made a wrong announcement when they landed safely in Asaba, causing confusion among the passengers.

“The aircraft has safely reached Abuja after the weather at the destination improved. United Nigeria Airlines is always committed to ensuring the safety of its passengers at all times.
