SCOAN Denies Allegations of Abuse and Rape in Response to BBC Documentary

The Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) has issued a statement in response to the BBC’s investigative documentary on the late Nigerian televangelist, TB Joshua.

The church has strongly denied the allegations of abuse and rape that were brought to light in the three-part series titled “Disciples: The Cult of TB Joshua.”

The BBC’s Africa Eye investigation uncovered numerous accounts of sexual assault, physical abuse, and manipulation by TB Joshua and his inner circle.

The documentary also revealed that the church allegedly staged miracles and forced members to undergo abortions.

In its statement, SCOAN dismissed the allegations as “unfounded,” stating that none of the claims were ever substantiated. The church also accused the BBC of conducting a biased investigation, claiming that the documentary was “outside the ethics of journalism.”

The response from SCOAN has sparked a heated debate on social media, with many expressing shock and disappointment at the allegations against the late prophet.

Others have come to the church’s defense, arguing that the BBC’s investigation was a smear campaign against the charismatic preacher.
