President Tinubu Reaffirms Ganduje’s Position as APC National Chairman Amidst Suspension Saga

In a political gathering, former Kano State Governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, revealed that President Bola Tinubu has assured him of his continued position as the All Progressives Congress (APC) National Chairman.

This statement comes amidst a recent attempt by the Kano State Government to remove Ganduje from office, citing allegations of corruption.

Ganduje’s suspension was initiated by his ward in Ganduje, DawakinTofa local government area of Kano State, over alleged corruption, including a widely circulated video where he purportedly received dollars as a bribe from a contractor.

However, the Kano State Working Committee of the APC quickly dismissed the suspension, citing the ward leaders’ involvement in anti-party activities.

Despite these challenges, President Tinubu’s reaffirmation of Ganduje’s position highlights the President’s confidence in his leadership and commitment to maintaining the current structure of the party.

It also underscores the President’s support for party unity and his determination to ensure that internal disputes do not undermine the party’s stability.

The allegations against Ganduje have been a point of contention within the party, with some members calling for his removal to protect the party’s integrity.

However, the President’s intervention suggests that he views the allegations as a matter to be addressed within the legal and party frameworks, rather than necessitating immediate action that could disrupt the party’s operations.

This development is significant for the APC, as it seeks to consolidate its position following the recent elections.

It also highlights the importance of internal party dynamics and the role of leadership in managing disputes and maintaining unity.

As the situation unfolds, it remains to be seen how the party will address the allegations against Ganduje and the broader issue of corruption within its ranks.

However, President Tinubu’s intervention signals a commitment to due process and the rule of law, as the party navigates this challenging period.
