President Tinubu names Fela Durotoye, four others as media aides

President Bola Tinubu has announced the appointment of five new aides to serve in the Office of the President under the Media and Publicity Directorate. The appointments are in line with the president’s commitment to uphold the principles of federal character and merit in his administration.

The new appointees are:

Mr. Fela Durotoye, Senior Special Assistant to the President on National Values and Social Justice Durotoye is a business consultant, leadership expert, and motivational speaker. He was the presidential candidate of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) in the 2019 elections.

Mr. Fredrick Nwabufo, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Engagement Nwabufo is a journalist, columnist, and media analyst. He was formerly the deputy editor of The Cable, an online newspaper.

Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe, Senior Special Assistant to the President on Strategic Communications Akhigbe is a communications strategist, public relations expert, and media entrepreneur. She is the founder and CEO of Linda Akhigbe Communications (LAC), a media consulting firm.

Mr. Aliyu Audu, Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs Audu is a lawyer, public affairs analyst, and human rights activist.

Mr. Francis Adah Abah, Personal Assistant to the President on Special Duties Abah is a political scientist, researcher, and policy analyst.

President Tinubu has also approved the secondment of Mrs. Linda Nwabuwa Akhigbe to serve as the Communications Adviser to the President of the ECOWAS Commission.
