Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State announced that over 4,000 SMEs and vulnerable groups will benefit from a N4.2 billion relief program aimed at easing the burdens caused by the removal of fuel subsidy and the rising cost of inflation.

Governor Sani emphasized the importance of collaboration with various stakeholders, including organized labor, market women, NGOs, and civil rights activists.

This approach has led to proactive measures in addressing the economic hardship faced by the people of Kaduna State.

The relief program is a part of the state’s financial inclusion initiative, which aims to bring about 2.5 million vulnerable and underserved people back into the financial services sector.

This effort has already seen success, with over 1.5 million people being reintegrated into the financial sector since the signing of an Executive Order on Financial Inclusion in the state.

The government’s open approach to governance has garnered support from the organized labor and has allowed for direct input from the people through town hall meetings. T

his approach has led to the allocation of N22 billion for agriculture in the state’s budget, a first in the history of Kaduna.

By working together with various stakeholders and taking a proactive approach to addressing the economic challenges faced by the people of Kaduna, Governor Uba Sani’s administration is setting an example for others to follow.

This relief program is a step in the right direction, and it remains to be seen how it will impact the lives of those in need in the state.
