Develop, equip yourselves for nation-building Ughelli Monarch charges youth leaders

The Ovie of Ughelli kingdom, HRM Dr Wilson Ojakovo Oharisi III has called on Youth Leaders to develop and equip themselves for nation-building.

The reverend Monarch of the Great Ughelli Kingdom stated this an interactive session during familiarization and a courtesy call by the Ughelli Clan Youth Chairmen Forum said, much is required from the youths as they are the workforce of the nation.

The monarch who spoke passionately affirm that any nation which neglects and toys with the youths cannot effectively develop, saying he has high regard for the youths and as such, they should not let him down.

He charged the youth leaders to get committed to developing themselves with the right skill and build the capacity to take over leadership, stressing that much is expected from the youth leaders who are seen as role models and agents of development.

He admonishes the youth leaders to take the forum very serious while building bridges and synergy among members of the forum, be law-abiding, give the right information to the youths, refrain from all kinds of crimes and report any criminal elements behaviour to the appropriate quarters.

Responding, the leader of the forum Comrade Okeya Clement the Chairman of Oteri Community, thanked the Monarch for being bold to make such observation found in our youths and for believing strongly in the future of the youths, promising they will not let him down.

The chairman who informed the monarch of the reason for the visit said the association which comprises all community youth chairmen in Ughelli Clan recently agreed it is very necessary to meet with the monarch and state the roles the association can play to further bring about peace in Ughelli Kingdom through advocacy for a United Ughelli youths irrespective of where they come from.
