Delta NUJ Vice Chairman, 11 others amongst new NIPR inductees

… NIPR President threatens legal actions against states that fails in implementing NIPR charter
Mr. Patruck Ochei, Delta State Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Journalists, NUJ, was on Friday, March 16, among other 132 members inducted into the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR in Lagos with 11, other prospective practitioners from Delta State.

Earlier in his welcome address, NIPR President, Mr. Rotimi Oladele charged the newly inducted members to work harder in order to change the face of Public Relations in the country and help to promote the Brand Nigeria.
According to him, “Choosing a career in PR is not accidental, it is a deliberate attempt. It is not enough to be a member, you must contribute your quota in promoting, marketing and managing the Brand Nigeria”.
The NIPR scribe posited that effective PR must be anchored on three pillars which are Communication, Relationship and Reputation; adding that sustainability of this three tenets of PR is the hallmark of its activities for the PR expert.
While addressing the newly inducted members into the NIPR,  Mr. Rotimi affirmed that the Institute is on the process of taking legal actions on state governments that has failed to implement the NIPR Charter.
The induction ceremony also featured a lecture titled, ” Leadership and Communication for Nation Building and Development” delivered by the President of the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Babatunde Paul Ruwase, in honour of a foremost PR expert, Late Sam Epele. It is worthy to note that Sam Epele Annual Lecture has been in series in NIPR as a mark of honour for the contributions of the Late PR legend.
Among those who were inducted at the prestigious LCCI complex at Alausa in Ikeja, Lagos, includes the Ondo State Commissioner of Information, the Assistant Commissioner of Police in charge of Rapid Response Squard in Lagos, the Vice Chairman of NUJ in Delta State, Permanent Secretaries, Directors in Governments’ MDAs, PR Managers in Corporate Organizations, PROs and PR Consultants at strategic levels.
