NELFUND Exposes Fraudulent Website Targeting Nigerian Students

The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to Nigerian students about a fraudulent website, www.fedstudyloan-gov.ng (http://www.fedstudyloan-gov.ng) (http://www.fedstudyloan-gov.ng).
The organization has clarified that it has no association with this website and strongly condemns any attempts to deceive students seeking financial aid.
According to a statement issued by the Media and Public Relations Lead at NELFUND, Nasir Ayitogo, fraudsters have been operating the aforementioned website, advertising an application for the highly anticipated student loan programme of the Federal Government.
This fraudulent activity was brought to the attention of the Fund through a national newspaper advertisement.
Ayitogo emphasized that NELFUND takes the security and well-being of their students very seriously and is committed to providing accurate information and resources for financing their education.
He urged all students to exercise caution and verify the legitimacy of any website or service claiming to represent their organization.

NELFUND encourages anyone affected by this scam to report it immediately to the relevant authorities.
