A woman died when a Benue Links bus careened into a stream on the Ogiladzi–Abakwa Road in Ofyanghan, Adi-Etulo, Buruku Local Government Area.
Witnesses say the vehicle was heading towards Jato-Aka when it suddenly plunged into the waterway. One female passenger perished in the crash.
The accident happened between 6:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. How exactly the bus left the road remains unclear at this time.
Multiple passengers survived the incident and were pulled from the wreckage. Rescue efforts were mounted by locals in the area.
