Victor Osimhen gets early AFCON call-up from Napoli

Napoli, the Serie A title holders, have given Victor Osimhen the green light to join the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Osimhen, who turns 25 today, is out of Napoli’s league game against Monza on Friday (today) due to a suspension. He was shown a red card in Napoli’s 2-0 loss to AS Roma last week.

The former Lille star is enjoying his vacation in Nigeria.

The striker, who is likely to be part of the Super Eagles’ squad for Cote d’Ivoire 2023, will meet his international colleagues in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on January 1.
