Midfielder John Joshua stands on the brink of leaving Nasarawa United after talks over a fresh contract stalled between the player and the NPFL club. Joshua was instrumental in Nasarawa United's fifth-place finish last season and also helped the Solid Miners reach the semi-finals of the 2026 President Federation Cup.
Both sides are racing against time to find common ground before the new season kicks off. According to sources close to the negotiations, Joshua will depart the Lafia-based outfit as a free agent if Nasarawa United fails to meet his contract demands.
