Zambia's Copper Queens will arrive in Algeria on Monday to complete their preparations for the 2026 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. The squad has spent the past fortnight training at a camp in Lusaka under the guidance of assistant coach Charles Haalubono.
Head coach Nora Elizabeth Häuptle will rejoin the team once they touch down in Algeria. The Copper Queens will face Algeria twice in friendly matches before departing for Morocco on a chartered aircraft to compete in the tournament.
Häuptle's side face a challenging group stage draw in Group C. They'll meet defending champions Nigeria, neighbouring Malawi, and Egypt in their bid to progress from the group.
