Delta State Governor, Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori, has praised the Value Rebirth Centre Leadership School for its unwavering dedication to raising a new generation of visionary leaders through quality leadership training.

Speaking through the Commissioner for Higher Education, Prof. Nyerhovwo Tonukari, at the school’s 8th Annual Lecture and Graduation Ceremony in Warri, the governor lauded the institution’s commitment to nurturing young minds with the values, skills, and vision needed to transform society.

Oborevwori described the event as “a testament to the hard work and dedication” of students, lecturers, and parents, noting that the Value Rebirth Centre had become “a veritable hub for grooming leaders of tomorrow.”

He told the graduating students that leadership is not defined by titles or positions, but by “character, vision, and the ability to inspire and influence others,” urging them to remain committed to the principles they had learned during their training.

“True leaders are not just born; they are made through dedication, hard work, and a willingness to learn. The knowledge and values you’ve gained here will serve as a strong foundation for your future,” he said.

Prof. Tonukari also commended the management and staff of the school for their “tireless efforts” in building capacity for national development, adding that their contribution to leadership development would continue to make a lasting impact.

Reaffirming his administration’s commitment to educational excellence, Oborevwori stressed that investing in education was a strategic investment in Delta State’s future. He pledged continued support for institutions and programmes that promote leadership, innovation, and societal transformation.

The governor congratulated the graduating students and challenged them to become change-makers, innovators, and problem-solvers, “the kind our world so desperately needs.”

The ceremony, themed around rebirth and renewal, brought together distinguished guests, parents, and community leaders to celebrate the achievements of the graduating class while underscoring the continuous nature of personal and leadership growth.
