Uduere Community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State hosted an honorary event on Saturday, November 2, 2024, to celebrate Hon. (Barr.) Jaro Egbo's recent election and swearing-in as the council chairman.
The ceremony, attended by prominent figures from Uduere and Ughelli Kingdom, featured former Delta State SSG, Rt. Hon. Ovie Agas, as the event chairman.
In his welcome address, Planning Committee Chair Barr. Ben Ubioworo expressed pride in Egbo's achievement, highlighting it as a victory of unity for the Uduere community.
He commended Egbo’s early accomplishments in his first 100 days, noting that he is the second Uduere native to hold this position, following the late Barr. Endurance Idisi.
Chairman of the occasion, Rt. Hon. Ovie Agas, praised Egbo’s commitment to community development and urged Uduere residents to continue supporting him. He also thanked the Delta State Government and Governor Rt. Hon. Sheriff Oborevwori for choosing Egbo, emphasizing the significance of his leadership for Ughelli North.
Comrade Oke Umurhohwo lauded Egbo’s dedication to infrastructure and governance, citing his impact on Ughelli North’s development as proof of his commitment to public service.
Egbo expressed deep gratitude to the Uduere community, pledging to attract essential infrastructure projects, including electricity and healthcare facilities, to the area. The event concluded with goodwill messages and the presentation of a portrait to honor the chairman.
