Supreme Court Verdict: UPU PG, Gam, congratulates Oborevwori

The President General of Urhobo Progress Union, UPU Worldwide, Olorogun (Barr) Ese Gam Owe has congratulated Governor Sheriff Francis Oborevwori on the Supreme Court affirmation of his mandate as the duly elected Governor of Delta State.

The UPU President-General in a statement he personally signed and made available to the media, said that the Oborevwori’s victory is a victory for Urhobo Nation irrespective of party affiliations as God finally allowed power to returned to Delta Central Senatorial District after several years of waiting due to the mutual agreement of power rotation across the three districts of the state.

He emphasized that the quest to become the Governor of the oil rich Delta State, is a tussle between brothers who patriotically, passionately and zealously demonstrated the strong determination and ‘it’s never over till it’s over’ spirit of every true born of Urhobo Nation.

He further called on all the political gladiators, every sons and daughters of Urhobo Nation and Deltans to support and join Governor Sheriff Oborevwori to move Delta State forward as everyone can’t be Governor at the same time.

“On behalf of every sons and daughters of Urhobo Nation, home and diaspora, I warmly congratulate you on the unique occasion of your victory from the Peoples Democratic Party Primary Election, General Election and favourable court verdict from Tribunal to the Supreme Court.

“The Urhobo Progress Union under my leadership will continue to support your programmes and policies in order to ensure the overall development of not just the Urhobo territories but Delta State in general through your well thought-out MORE agenda.

“May God give you the zeal and wisdom as you pilot the affairs of our dear state and reposition it on the trajectory of growth and development.
