Federal University, Oye-Ekiti has moved against two undergraduates. They face immediate suspension for sharing explicit videos of the student union leader online.

The affected students are Alao Iyanuoluwa Odunayo and Olawale Abiodun Samuel. Management announced their suspension on Friday through a statement on its website.

According to Prof. Tajudeen Opoola, the Acting Vice Chancellor, both students orchestrated the leaked content deliberately.

They did this because the SUG president, James Iyanuoluwa Adio, refused to meet their financial requests, officials said.

The university described their actions as cyberbullying and a conspiracy against Adio. Management stated the pair sought to damage his reputation through social media.

Adio himself faced suspension earlier over allegations that he extorted money from students. The union leader's troubles deepened following the video leak.

In its statement, FUOYE's administration condemned the two suspended students harshly. It noted their behaviour had damaged the institution's image significantly.

University authorities confirmed investigations into the matter remain ongoing. Officials vowed to rid the campus of conduct that harms FUOYE's reputation.
