SUNSET AT DAWN: Sylvester Oromoni’s family announces late Dowen College Student funeral rite 

The family of the late Sylvester Oromoni Jr., the 12-year-old prodigious scholar from Dowen College,  in a somber announcement that underscores the heart-wrenching tragedy, has officially disclosed the funeral arrangements for their departed son.

Recall that Sylvester, born on December 4, 2009, met a devastating end on November 30, 2021, succumbing to injuries inflicted in a harrowing unprovoked assault by fellow students.

The family, who are still grappling with the profound sorrow occasioned by this inexplicable loss, has chosen to bid farewell to Sylvester on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

The final rites will be conducted at Ogbe-Ijaw Warri Kingdom, marking two years since the tragic incident that claimed the young prodigy’s life.

This revelation comes on the heels of the Lagos State Government’s inquiry into the circumstances surrounding Sylvester’s demise. The investigation is probing allegations of bullying, assault, negligence, and the administration of a poisonous substance by five senior students of Dowen College, Lekki Lagos.
