‘Stop Cursing Tinubu’ – Omokri Reveals How Nigerians Caused High Dollar Rate

In a recent statement on X, sociopolitical activist Reno Omokri addressed the issue of the high dollar rate and the resulting hardship in Nigeria, urging people to stop cursing President Bola Tinubu.

Omokri pointed out that the preference of Nigerians for foreign products over locally made goods is a significant factor contributing to the country’s economic woes.

According to Omokri, the exchange rate of the US dollar will not drop until Nigerians start opting for locally made products.

He highlighted the irony of people complaining about the state of the Naira while using foreign products and services, including MTN data, a $250 human hair wig from India, clothes from Italy, shoes from Spain, and consuming Quaker oats from England and eggs from South Africa.

In his X post, Omokri emphasized that the Naira has been floated and that no power on Earth can make the Naira circulate with higher purchasing power unless people start consuming made-in-Nigeria goods and services.

He suggested that Nigerians should support local industries by driving with Innoson, calling with Glo, building with Dangote, and eating with Nasco.

Omokri believes that the solution to Nigeria’s economic hardship and high dollar rate lies in the hands of the people.

By choosing to support local industries and consume locally made products, the country’s economy could potentially improve, and the exchange rate of the US dollar may eventually drop.
