Governor Sani Urges Continuous Aggressive Military Operations Against Bandits

Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has called for aggressive military operations against bandits in the state following attacks in Igabi and Kauru LGAs, which left some citizens dead and others kidnapped.

The Governor has also sent his condolences to the families that lost their loved ones in the affected areas.

During an on-the-spot assessment of the security situation in the company of the Garrison Commander, One Division Nigerian Army, and other military commanders, Governor Sani’s representative, Samuel Aruwan, reiterated the need for continuous aggressive military operations to curb the menace of bandits in the state.

The Governor’s representative also acknowledged the loss of lives in Kerawa and Sabon Birni Wards in Igabi LGA and Kwassam, Kurera, and Kan Makama communities in Kauru LGA, offering condolences and prayers for the deceased and a speedy recovery for the injured.

The delegation had earnest meetings with traditional leaders, led by the Acting District Head of Sabon Birni, Alhaji Ahmed Aliyu, and religious and community leaders from various locations, including Dunki, Gwada, Bina, Maraci, Tami, Karshi, and Kerawa, to discuss issues critical to the improvement of the security situation.

Governor Uba Sani’s administration is not relenting in its efforts to address the security challenges in the state, as it is also working towards sustained aggressive military operations in the frontline locations and emerging fronts like Kauru LGA.

The team is expected to visit and assess the security situation in the local government areas of Kajuru and Kauru.
