Super Eagles boss Eric Chelle watched Shooting Stars edge Nasarawa United 3–2 on Sunday at Lekan Salami Stadium. The Nigerian Premier Football League matchday 36 fixture gave him plenty to assess.
Lucky Emmanuel grabbed two goals in the victory. But Chelle's eyes were fixed on striker Ayobami Junior throughout the match.
"He did well with the ball. He is very good," Chelle told Shooting Stars media after the game.
The coach noted Junior showed promise in possession but needs sharper work ethic off the ball. "When without the ball, he needs to work harder to help the team," Chelle explained.
According to him, the entire Shooting Stars squad displayed commitment on the day. "The players gave everything throughout the encounter," he added.
Chelle plans to attend Tuesday's matchup between Ikorodu City and Wikki Tourists. His presence suggests the federation continues monitoring NPFL form ahead of future national team selections.
