Shettima Hands Over 200 New Stores to Traders at Adire Market in Ogun

Vice President Kashim Shettima has announced the handover of 200 newly refurbished stores to 400 entrepreneurs at the popular Asero Adire market in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The gesture is part of the President Tinubu administration’s efforts to support small businesses by providing an enabling environment for them to thrive.

The Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation made this announcement in a statement via its X handle on Wednesday.

The beneficiaries will use the stores free of charge for a period of one year, after which they will be charged discounted rates for the use of the facilities.

Vice President Shettima announced the gesture on Tuesday at the second edition of the Expanded National MSME Clinics in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The clinics serve as a lifeline for small businesses as they offer immediate financial support to the exhibitors and provide small businesses the opportunity to register with the Corporate Affairs Commission and get their business names registered within 48 hours.

These efforts are aimed at facilitating the growth of small businesses in Nigeria and promoting entrepreneurship among the citizens.

By providing support and resources to these entrepreneurs, the government hopes to create a thriving business environment and contribute to the overall development of the country.
