Senator Prince Ned Munir Nwoko, representing Delta North Senatorial District, has raised an alert about the proliferation of fake Facebook and Instagram accounts impersonating him.
The Senator stated this in a statement issued by Hon. Gloria Okolugbo, Communication Director of his office, he emphasized that his official accounts on both platforms are verified and marked with a blue tick.
The statement warned that any posts or communications from unverified accounts should be disregarded as they do not represent Senator Nwoko or his office. "We wish to inform the public that any post or communication not originating from the verified accounts with the blue tick is not authorized and does not represent Senator Nwoko or his office," the statement read.
Members of the public were advised to rely only on the Senator's verified accounts for genuine updates, announcements, and engagements. The Senator’s team also urged users to report any suspicious or fake accounts to Facebook and Instagram to help curb the spread of unauthorized content.
The statement concluded with an appeal for cooperation from the public, thanking them for their understanding.
This proactive move comes as part of efforts to maintain the integrity of the Senator's online presence and to ensure accurate representation of his initiatives and engagements.
