Scandal at Ondo University: Deputy Vice Chancellor Files Complaint Against Bursar

A scandal has erupted at the prestigious Ondo University in Nigeria.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor, Professor L.A. Lotto, has filed a petition with the Commissioner of Police, alleging that the Bursar, Mr. T.A. Shittu, threatened his life during a heated confrontation in the council chambers on February 15, 2024.

The incident, which took place at about 9am, has sent shockwaves through the academic community and raised serious concerns about the safety and well-being of university staff.

Professor Lotto claims that Mr. Shittu’s actions were not only threatening but also indicative of a larger issue of financial mismanagement within the institution.

In his petition, Professor Lotto exposed a series of financial irregularities that he believes have been perpetrated by the Bursar.

These allegations include the misappropriation of funds, fraudulent transactions, and a lack of transparency in the university’s financial dealings.

The Deputy Vice Chancellor is now calling for a thorough investigation into the matter and demanding that Mr. Shittu be held accountable for his actions.

The university has yet to issue an official statement on the matter, but sources close to the administration have confirmed that an internal investigation is already underway.

Meanwhile, students, faculty, and staff at Ondo University are left reeling from the scandal, with many calling for swift and decisive action to restore the institution’s reputation and ensure the safety of all those involved.

As this story continues to unfold, it serves as a stark reminder of the importance of transparency and accountability in our educational institutions.

The situation at Ondo University highlights the need for strong oversight and ethical conduct in the management of public funds, and it is our hope that this crisis will ultimately lead to a more responsible and transparent administration in the future.
