Rivers Crisis: When Time Comes, We’ll Know Who Is In Charge – Wike

The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has made a bold statement regarding the ongoing political crisis in Rivers State.

During a visit to the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Victor Giadom, in Bera, Gokana Local Government Area of Rivers State, Wike expressed confidence that when the time comes, it will be clear who is in charge of the state’s politics.

Wike, who has been at loggerheads with his successor Governor Sim Fubara, believes that despite the current tensions, the people of Rivers State will eventually recognize the true political giants.

The situation in the state has been tense, with lawmakers loyal to the minister serving the governor an impeachment notice, which was later withdrawn after President Bola Tinubu’s intervention.

During his visit to Giadom, Wike emphasized that politics is not the focus right now and that there is a time for everything. He also mentioned that he is not swayed by social media and its impact on politics.

Instead, he called on politicians to work for the people, stating that when the time comes, it will be evident who is in charge.

As the political situation in Rivers State continues to unfold, many are left wondering what the future holds for the state and its political leaders.

With President Tinubu’s involvement in the matter, it remains to be seen how the situation will be resolved and who will ultimately come out on top.
