Usman Abd'Allah believes Remo Stars will survive the drop this season. The technical adviser spoke with confidence despite his team's precarious position in the NPFL.
Last year's champions face the real threat of relegation to the Nigeria National League. It's a stunning reversal for the Sky Blue Stars just months after their maiden title triumph.
Remo improved their chances with a 2-1 victory over Bayelsa United in Ikenne on Sunday. The win lifted them out of the danger zone temporarily.
One final match remains—against Bendel Insurance—to secure their top-flight status. Abd'Allah told reporters his team understands what's at stake in that crucial clash.
"We must work extremely hard to score goals because we need victory," he said. According to the former Super Eagles assistant, anything less than three points won't do.
"We cannot be written off yet," Abd'Allah added with conviction. "By God's grace, we'll go there and escape relegation."
