Rangers are weighing up a move to bring Joe Aribo back to Ibrox, sources close to the Scottish club revealed. Aribo's contract at Southampton expired after the recent season ended.

The Nigerian midfielder quit Rangers four years ago for a £10million switch to the English club. He struggled to get playing time at Southampton in his final campaign.

In January, Aribo joined Leicester City on loan to revive his career. He made just six appearances for the Foxes, starting in only one match.

During his three years at Rangers, the 29-year-old won a league title and a Scottish Cup. He also featured in their heartbreaking Europa League final loss to Frankfurt in 2022.
