“Arise, O compatriots”
Our motherland at 60
Come, join me, and celebrate her freedom
With love, strength, and faithfulness.
In peace and harmony, oneness and honesty to grow!
Hunger, deprived the citizens right
Who will rescue our land?
The people cry.
With the power of freedom,
She raises a voice to say NO to slavery
We are proud Nigerians, happy at 60
Our motherland, the land most blessed, black nation
THE FACT; It sounds a bit exaggerated
A country regarded as the Africa power horse
A country blessed with an abundance of resources
A country known for its vast hydrocarbons wealth
A billion barrels of proven oil resources we owned
Little wonder we were once called,
The happiest people on earth!
Her mountains and valley endowed with natural minerals
A nation of fertile soil we are gifted
We are gifted and talented
We have a sense of oneness
We are very optimistic
We are rich in culture
We are dodged, happy and resilient
We have flaws, but, in a special way
We have God at the centre of our lives
A country of great beauty we have.
One person is nothing, two people are a nation
The mass, the crowd, the leaders, are the nation
To our President, we hail
To our governors, we hail
For serving our country, the mass wished.
Upon our dreams, we give up not
As long as there is breathe in us,
There is hope Nigeria!
To our motherland I raise a voice, to sing;
OH!
There is no place like home
We are proud Nigerians!!!
