Prof Ugwumba hails Omo-Agege at 61, says his is a distinguished leader

A renowned Medical practitioner and politician, Prof (Mrs) Rukevwe Ugwumba, has felicitated immediate past Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege on his 61st birth anniversary.

Ugwumba, a philanthropist and socialite, in a statement on the 61st birthday of the candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC in the 2023 governorship election in Delta State, described Senator Omo-Agege as a distinguished leader, champion of Nigeria democracy and a pride of Delta State.

The Canada-based Uwheru-born Professor of Medicine and Family Health and Founder of Jesu Marie Empowerment Foundation, JMEF, stated that the celebrant’s contribution to the nation’s development is appreciated and commendable.

She said, “Happy birthday, Your Excellency, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly.

“Today marks another remarkable moment in your life as a true statesman and leader of great repute. On behalf of myself, my family and Dr Ruky Political Support Group, we wish many happy returns”.

Reflecting on Omo-Agege’s period in the Senate, Prof Ugwumba stated, “You were the Deputy President of the 9th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and you made the nation proud.

“Your Excellency, as always, I admire your dedication, wisdom, temerity, courage and selfless service to our great nation. Your contributions to national development, have been unprecedented and beyond remarkable.

“May your 61st birthday be a celebration of greater opportunities to come, more achievements, and more legacy. May this day bring joy, peace, and celebration to you and your family”, she prayed.

The former Special Adviser on Health to former Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan, and also a one-time Consultant to the Senate Committee on Health, further prayed to God to grant the celebrant’s dream of becoming the Governor of Delta State in 2027.

Prof Ugwumba maintained that excellence in leadership is needed in Delta to turn the fortunes of the state to the highest level of development, stressing that Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has all it takes to provide good governance to the people.

“Your Excellency, I pray that God grants you good health, strength, and wisdom to continue serving our nation and humanity.

“I also pray for you on behalf of millions of Deltans that support you and my political support group, that your mandate be realized in 2027 as governor of Delta State.

“Congratulations Your Excellency. May your days be long, healthy and happy”, Ugwumba stated.
