President Tinubu Embarks on One-Day Visit to Ondo State

President Bola Tinubu has embarked on a one-day visit to Ondo State, departing from the presidential wing of the Nnamdi Azikiwe airport in Abuja on Wednesday afternoon.

The President’s official jet, NAF1, landed at Akure airport, where he was received by the Governor of Ondo State, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and the Governor of Ekiti State, Mr Biodun Oyebanji.

Upon his arrival, President Tinubu inspected the presidential guard of honour mounted at the airport terminal.

He then proceeded to the palace of the Olowo of Owo Kingdom, Oba Ajibade Ogunoye, to pay his respects and engage in discussions with the traditional ruler.

President Tinubu is also scheduled to visit the family of the late Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, who passed away in December 2023 and was laid to rest in his Owo, Ondo State country home last Friday.

This visit is expected to provide solace and support to the grieving family.

After concluding his visit to Owo, President Tinubu will return to Akure, the capital of Ondo State, where he will pay a courtesy visit to the national leader of the Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural organization, Afenifere, Pa Reuben Fasoranti, at his residence.

This meeting will serve as an opportunity for the President to engage with the influential group and discuss matters of importance to the Yoruba people and the Nigerian nation.
