Police Recruitment: PSC Promises Equal Opportunities for JAMB/CBT Candidates

The Police Service Commission (PSC) has assured the 171,956 shortlisted candidates invited for the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) Computer Based Test (CBT) of a level playing field.

The test is scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, March 5th and 6th, 2024, across the 36 states of the Federation and the Federal Capital Territory.

The Commission’s Chairman, Dr. Solomon Arase, CFR, a retired Inspector General of Police, reiterated the organization’s commitment to ensuring that the exercise is merit-based and in line with the Federal Character Commission’s requirements of equal representation.

The statement, signed by the Head of Press and Public Relations, Ikechukwu Ani, also emphasized that the Commission will ensure that the exercise is merit-based throughout the stages of the recruitment.

Applicants are advised to visit the recruitment portal at apply.policerecruitment.gov to confirm their status after the screening exercise.

If successful, candidates should also confirm the specific time and date for their Computer-based test.

Upon the completion of the exercise, the nation will benefit from additional police manpower to help combat crime and criminality.

The statement also mentioned that the 43,778 applicants successful in the specialists cadre during the screening exercise will be required to undergo practical tests at a date to be announced later.

This assurance from the Police Service Commission offers a fair and equal opportunity for all candidates to showcase their skills and abilities in the recruitment process.
