Plateau’s Tertiary Institution Heads Temporarily Removed from Office

The Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication, Musa Ashoms, has clarified that the heads of tertiary institutions in the state were not sacked, but rather suspended from office.

This statement comes in response to claims made by some groups in the state that the heads of the institutions were sacked.

According to Ashoms, the suspension of the heads of the institutions was due to some allegations against them.

The Commissioner emphasized that the state government led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang is committed to bringing sanity into all sectors of the state economy, including tertiary institutions.

Ashoms also addressed a protest by Bokkos youths calling for the reinstatement of the Vice Chancellor, Plateau State University Bokkos, where the suspended VC hails from.

The Commissioner stressed the need for harmonious and peaceful coexistence in the state and said the decision was in the best interest of the state.

The heads of tertiary institutions in Plateau State have been suspended, not sacked, as clarified by the Plateau State Commissioner for Information and Communication.

The state government is committed to addressing any issues and ensuring a fair and just resolution for all parties involved.
