Soldiers from Operation Enduring Peace have apprehended a man suspected of killing another in Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State. The fatal stabbing happened around 2 am on May 23 in Bomo village.

Two residents, Sani Haruna and Bashiru Saidu, got into a fierce quarrel that night. According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, troops from Sector 1 of Operation Safe Haven found Haruna with severe stab injuries.

Makama said Saidu allegedly inflicted the wounds during their confrontation. Medical teams rushed Haruna to a hospital in Miango, but doctors confirmed he died from his injuries.

Soldiers teamed up with Vigilante Group members to hunt for Saidu. He was arrested days later and taken for questioning.

Authorities say they'll push for prosecution. Officials urged residents to resolve conflicts peacefully instead of turning to violence.

Security chiefs promised continued patrols across Plateau communities. They reaffirmed their dedication to keeping the state safe.
