Peter Obi Speaks On Dumping Labour Party

The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has addressed the rumors about him leaving the party.

In a statement on February 23, 2024, Obi dismissed the claims as false and the work of political mischief makers.

The statement, signed by his media aide, Michael Jude Nwolisa, on Friday, emphasized that the rumors did not originate from Obi or the Obidient Movement.

Instead, it was a deliberate attempt by those bent on causing chaos within the Labour Party to derail the journey of rescuing Nigeria.

Obi, who remains focused on creating an environment where democracy is practiced according to the defined tenets, reassured the Obidient family that his way with Labour remains unshaken and intact.

He stressed that the struggle to rescue Nigeria from criminal gangs will not stop until it is achieved through the will of the Nigerian people.

The Labour Party’s presidential candidate urged all Nigerians, especially his supporters, to remain focused on the goal of transforming the country and not be distracted by the actions of those seeking to create divisions within the party.

Peter Obi has reaffirmed his commitment to the Labour Party and his determination to continue the fight for a better Nigeria.
