Pemu joins 2023 Delta State House of Assembly race

A Chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in Delta State, Hon Festus Akponofua Pemu has formally declared his intention to contest for the Delta State House of Assembly seat, Sapele Constituency in 2023 under the platform of the PDP.

Pemu made his declarations when he hosted members of the party in ward 9 in his office in Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State.

Pemu who was fielding questions from Pressmen, on why he has decided to contest for the position, the philanthropist said.

“My decision to contest was out of my desire to help my people and they have continued to prevail on me to contest for the seat, why I have continued to impart people in the little way I can, the urge to impart on them more has propelled me to take it to a higher level

Pemu revealed that representing the Sapele constituency at the Delta State House of Assembly remains achievable.

He however stated that he has the “ confidence, the vision, the capacity to rule, build on what is needed to be done and turn Sapele constituency better.

“ I don’t want to discuss individuals now. I must discuss myself,” he said.

The declarations which witness party bigwigs from across the wards also has in attendance, Executive Assistant to the Delta State Governor, Chief Cyril Ogodo, Delta State House of Assembly Service Commission member Hon Sunny Ebereri, Chief Mike Eboho and a host of others
