Pains of Economic Crisis to be Eased, Assures Ekiti Government

In an announcement by the Ekiti State Government in Nigeria, the Deputy Governor, Chief (Mrs) Monisade Afuye, has assured citizens that the pains caused by the current economic crisis will soon be alleviated.

With skyrocketing prices of food and essential commodities, the government has promised to take necessary economic and political measures to ease the discomfort experienced by Nigerians.

Despite the economic crunch, the government encourages citizens to prioritize personal and environmental hygiene for improved wellness and life expectancy.

The Deputy Governor’s statement comes after monitoring the monthly environmental sanitation exercise in two local government areas, where she emphasized the importance of cleanliness in reducing morbidity and mortality rates.

In response to the current situation, Governor Biodun Oyebanji has approved a sum of N331 million for local governments to purchase palliative materials, and a Price Control and Regulation Committee has been set up to address the hyper-inflation in the state.

The government’s commitment to ensuring a clean and healthy environment for its citizens is evident in their actions and words.

The government has also expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ability to address the economic crisis, urging citizens to be patient as he has only recently come into power.

Meanwhile, Governor Oyebanji is working tirelessly to support President Tinubu in tackling the situation.

During a visit to the Palace of Olojudo of Ido Ile, Oba Aderemi Obaleye, the Deputy Governor reiterated the government’s dedication to maintaining a clean environment and preventing disease outbreaks.

Oba Aderemi Obaleye commended Governor Oyebanji for his efforts in setting Ekiti on a faster pace of economic and infrastructural development.
