Otti to Kick Off 41.5 km Road Construction in Abia North

Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, is set to flag off the construction of a 41.5-kilometer road network in Abia North.

The project aims to enhance the economic development and business environment in the region by improving road infrastructure.

On Wednesday, Otti will launch the construction of the 30-kilometer Arochukwu – Ndiokereke – Ozuabam road, and within a week, he will also flag off the 11.5-kilometer Nunya -Eluama -Isuikwuato road.

These initiatives follow the recent launch of the reconstruction of the Umuahia -Uzuakoli – Akara road and the Abiriba-Ohafia road.

According to the Commissioner for Information, Prince Okey Kanu, the Governor is giving priority to road infrastructure due to its importance in fast-tracking economic growth.

“Roads are serious enablers for a good business environment, and the State Government will not relent in ensuring that roads in the state are put in very good motorable condition,” he said.

The construction of these roads is expected to boost economic activities and improve the quality of life for residents in Abia North.
