Victor Osimhen has been crowned Italian Footballers’ Association (AIC) Footballer of the Year.
Osimhen earned the award after a splendid season with Napoli.
The 24-year-old was a key factor in the Partenopei’s title triumph, their first in 33 years.
The Nigerian international netted 26 goals in 32 league matches for Napoli.
Despite a rough start to the 2023–24 season and recent injury woes, Osimhen has maintained his remarkable goals-per-game average, with six from 10 after the 14th gameweek.
The award was previously won by the likes of Rafael Leao, Gianluigi Buffon, Cristiano Ronaldo, Andrea Prilo, and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
