Ondo Amotekun Reinforces Security in Ekiti Following the Tragic Death of Traditional Rulers

In response to the recent tragic killing of two traditional rulers in Ekiti State, the Ondo State Security Network Agency, also known as Amotekun, has deployed its personnel to neighboring Ekiti State.

This move aims to assist in maintaining security and ensuring the safety of the residents in the region.

According to recent reports, the two monarchs were attacked and killed by suspected herdsmen while traveling on the road connecting Oke Ako and Ipao-Ekiti in the Ajoni Local Government Area of Ekiti State.

The incident has sparked outrage and concern among the local communities, prompting the Ondo State government to take swift action.

The Amotekun Corps, a regional security outfit established by the South-west states, has been actively involved in combating criminal activities in the region, including kidnapping, banditry, and armed robbery.

The deployment of Amotekun personnel to Ekiti State is a clear indication of the agency’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the citizens in the South-west region.

The Governor of Ondo State, Mr. Aiyedatiwa, has directed the Amotekun Corps to work closely with the security agencies in Ekiti State to apprehend the perpetrators of this heinous crime and to prevent any further acts of violence.

The Governor also expressed his condolences to the families of the deceased monarchs and to the people of the affected communities.

The deployment of Amotekun personnel to Ekiti State is a significant step in addressing the security challenges faced by the South-west region.

It is hoped that this move will help to restore peace and security to the affected communities and prevent any further loss of life.
