Okowa’s aide accuses yahoo boys of killing girls for rituals in Sapele

 …leads protest against killings, kidnapping in Sapele

The Senior Special Adviser on security matters, SSA, to the Delta State Governor, Mr Omasan Mabiaku and the Save Sapele Group on Tuesday, protested against the recent killings in Sapele local government area of Delta State.

Comrade Omasan the leader of the group who was seen with Hundreds of youths, went round the streets of Sapele carrying placards with the inscriptions “say no to Yahoo plus” “say no to rituals killings”, “No to Armed robbery and kidnapping” chanting songs and saying “enough is enough” said that the peace of Sapele local government must be restored.

The SSA to the Delta State Governor, while addressing journalists said, “three days ago, some Yahoo boys went round the streets of sapele to protest against their arrest by EFCC, but we are not in support of Yahoo, we condemn it. Sapele is known for peace and a very peaceful town before now, but today we hear about killings, stealing and kidnapping and we have come out to condemn it”.

“We came out to make the world know that Sapele is not known for violence, for Cyber crime or Yahoo Yahoo. We are against Yahoo because they are the people killings our girls for ritual purposes. Some of the boys involved in these crimes are not from this town, Sapele is like a hiding place for them” he added.

He also noted that he has written a report and that he believed that the police are doing their investigations and anybody that is caught will face the law adding that Sapele residents should be rest assured that they will leave no stone unturned to ensure that peace is be restored.

Comrade Sako Ese the secretary to the Save Sapele Group also while addressing journalists said sapele was known to be very peaceful but recent killings, ritual cases, kidnapping, armed robbery, are on the increase and are becoming very worrisome.

“The deaths are getting too much and this has to stop. We are protesting against the killers because enough is enough, we want peace to be restored back to Sapele, so that we can leave like brothers and sisters,” he said.

He however advised the government to create jobs for the youths and also encouraged the youths to stop craving for materials things without hard work, “because anyone caught, will face the law.”
