Ogun State Pays N10,000 Cash Award to 100,000 Primary and Secondary School Learners

The Ogun State government has begun disbursing N10,000 cash awards to 100,000 primary and secondary school learners across the state.

The move comes as part of Governor Dapo Abiodun’s promise to assist parents in managing the current economic situation in the country.

During the launch of the program, the Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu, explained that the cash awards are a strategic approach to offer relief to families in these challenging times.

He emphasized that Governor Abiodun’s administration is committed to reaching the populace through the education and health sectors.

The disbursement process has been facilitated through the collaboration of teachers, who were tasked with identifying the most deserving and indigent students in the state’s over 2,000 public primary and secondary schools.

The Commissioner assured the public that the selection process was objective and transparent.

As the payments are being distributed, the government hopes that the cash awards will help alleviate some of the financial burdens faced by families and enable students to focus on their education.

This initiative is a first of its kind in the state and has been well-received by the community, with many parents expressing their gratitude for the much-needed support.

The Ogun State government’s cash award program is a commendable effort to provide financial relief to families in the face of economic challenges.

By investing in the education sector and supporting the most vulnerable students, the government is paving the way for a brighter future for its citizens.
